At BUX, we’re dedicated to helping you do more with your money. To further support your financial goals, the interest rate on uninvested cash now goes up to 1,75%.

Having uninvested cash in your portfolio can be an essential part of your investing strategy, giving you the flexibility to react to favorable market conditions. Instead of letting that money sit idly, an attractive interest is offered as a reward for keeping it in your account. The interest is paid by ABN AMRO Clearing Bank. This means that you can earn a passive income without actually having to invest.

  • All onboarded BUX users that are on BUX Plus and BUX Prime immediately earn interest on uninvested cash.
  • Interest is calculated daily based on the cash balance and interest rate.
  • Your interest rate depends on your account type:

    • BUX Basic
      0%
    • BUX Plus
      1,50% on up to €100k
      0% above €100k
    • BUX Prime
      1,75% on up to €100k
      1,65% above €100k
  • Interest is paid monthly. Typically this happens within the first two weeks of the month. For full details, please refer to the Product Information Sheet under chapter 8. 

Who is eligible to receive interest at BUX?

If you are a BUX user and have completed KYC, you can earn interest on your uninvested cash. Your account with BUX must be active at the time interest is paid.

How is my interest calculated?

Wondering how your interest is calculated? Your daily cash balance is monitored once a day, including on weekends and holidays. Daily interest is calculated by multiplying your balance by the applicable interest rate and dividing the result by 365. If the balance is zero or negative at the time of the check, it is treated as €0 for that day. At the end of the month, all daily interest values are added together to determine your total monthly compensation.

When do I receive my interest?

Interest is added to your cash balance on a monthly basis. Interest is typically paid within the first two weeks following each month. For example, interest for January is usually paid in the first two weeks of February
